A few months ago, I published a post where I explained how to download music on Groveshark. Today I tested my method again and decided to publish it in english. I’m going to make it short this time: The french Government wants to censor the web to block illegal downloading of music and films, so I will show you a loophole. There is a way to download music on the famous streaming platform Grooveshark.  You should be able to get the music easily and without risking to be caught, but remember you should not download music that you didn’t buy before.
How is it possible ? Well, streaming websites like Grooveshark needs to download the music on you computer, if they wouldn’t do it, you couldn’t hear anything coming out of your speakers, but the download is temporary. To achieve this they use a flash reader which gets the music from the server, read it and then delete it, trying to hide as good as possible where the music is. But there is a way to detect the music stream and save it elsewhere on your computer where the flash player can’t delete it (any other place will do it). So here comes the easy method.

4 steps:

1. Download, install and run Free Music Zilla
2. Go on Grooveshark and start listening to the song you want
3. In Free Music Zilla select « stream.php » and start the download
4. rename « stream.php » in « stream.mp3″ and enjoy

Mozilla vient de publier la première alpha de Firefox 3.6 qui promet déjà d’être spectaculaire. Au programme de cette alpha notamment:

• Nouvelle propriété CSS3: background-size, gradient pour les backgrounds
• Amélioration de rapidité de Tracemonkey
• Amélioration de la vitesse de démarrage

Firefox 3.6 devrait également être multi-process, en somme un plantage du a un site n’affectera que l’onglet et pas Firefox au complet.

Mozilla a également annoncer que leurs efforts se porteront sur la vitesse ressenti par l’utilisateur par opposition à la vitesse réelle (mais ils continueront travailler sur la vitesse réelle de Firefox, rassurez vous). Attendons nous donc à de améliorations en terme d’ergonomie.
